11 sheets of drawings to determine the very special background that I envisaged for this painting. Well done. I publish a video to show in a single way both the drawings and the draft painted canvas.
A long way to obtain the final sketch of this project. A thousand ideas and concepts invaded my mind with a thousand images and colors mixed in a thousand different manners: all those images were seductive for me, but never enough for convincing me of their reality: this reality that I must feel in my mind before I paint it on my large canvas.
Hesitation like that happens sometimes, when the project is the final step of a series, and the most important one…
I observed that people often think that painting is only a pleasure for the painter. They do not imagine the hardness of the mental composition preceding the painting itself… Painter’s life!
Never mind.
My Akhal Teke for Hebrew is a good project, and by the way represents a « zero point » in my life as a painter.
« Zero Point » means a new starting point in my painting style, in my state of mind, in my life as a man: in my series « Travel – Dad », it was the case too. I evolved the graphics of my series « Travel – Dad » in order to create the background of my last Akhal for Hebrew », did you find by yourself this direct relationship?
