My next series succeeding my « Akhal for Hebrew » will dive into the Bible. « The cycle of Abraham » will be composed of 7 paintings with a medium size of 31,5X39,5 inches.
Landscapes will be inspired by the one of my « Akhal n°3″.
I mean that the background of the canvas will be covered with different metal sheets creating different coloured areas.
The landscapes will be suggested by lines and volutes painted in black. The Jourdain River will be painted in sky blue.
The characters will be painted in a natural way.
In a figurative and expressionist style.
The project include a double, (or a triple), reading of the Bible beyond my Christian culture nourished by my (ancient) interest for the Talmud of Babylon. I suppose that I am not enough prepared for an access to the Cabbala which I approached with my series titled « Gates 1/72″, aborted in 2006, and replaced by the series presented in « between gallery » (in the middle of the page « 345/252″ and « Karlequin version 2″.
